(3.5 stars leaning 4) I really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant. It was really nice and we got seated outside with a beautiful view and listened to good music. I do think the food was a 7.5/10. (Not worth the price in my opinion) but the 50/50 mash potato's were amazing. Our server was amazing and all employees were amazing as well. I just don't think it's worth the price but still good food!

Castaway Burbank is one of our favourite spots. We had not been here in a bit due to business travel since Christmas 2024. Back this evening - as I reunite with my husband and Vizsla ( Davis Da Silva) Grayson curated a perfect stirred not shaken for me! While they did not have Fords Gin I loved my martini thank you Grayson!

TLDR: 3.75/5 - Excellent service, good food, great view..but was it worth the price *Apologies for the bad photos it was a work dinner and they are unaware of my Yelp Elite life* Ordered: Brussel Sprouts: 6/5 - I did myself a disservice not asking them what the heck they dressed these sprouts with because my god it made them SO GOOD. Truly the star of the show. The perfectly charred sprouts were covered in what I could best describe as a sweet chili thai sauce. Whatever it was, I could have only had that and been beyond satisfied for the night. Its a shame that it was a sharable plate because I was debating keeping it all for myself. Crab Cake: 5/5 Comes with two. I only had a bite of this but it must've been the perfect bite. Packed with fresh crab, it had a great flavor overall! All the ingredients melded so well together. The size was decent too. Caviar Fries: 3/5 The table wasn't too wowed by these so I abstained. This is was the overall average. Calamari: 4/5 It was tasty. I've had better calamari but it wasn't deterred from eating more of it! Great sharable option too. Miso Marinated Butterfish: 3/5 I'm normally a huge fish girly. This particular fish though must have been out of my comfort zone because it was way too bold for me. I don't know if it was the fish itself or the marinated but this wasn't your average tempered salmon or cod. Butterfish showed up and it was loud. The rice that came along with it was nothing to write home about. I think the sprouts were coded in this same sauce which in my humble opinion does better on the sprouts than it does the rice. In addition, I think the flavors of the fish and the rice did not blend well together. Not bad, but there could've been something else. Service: 5/5 Our server was excellent, I forgot his name unfortunately but he elevated the experience! He walked through every dish, gave recommendations and came by often to make sure everything was up to par. My only minus is us having to constantly ask to refill our waters. But otherwise the staff seemed lovely and warm. Vibe: 5/5 I mean the atmosphere is top tier. It overlooks the wonderous valley. It also isn't half bad at night. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The tables are arranged in a way I believe make the view the focal point so everyone can see it. There is also an ample amount of heaters when it is cold out to be seated outside. The outdoor is shaded as well which would make for a great brunch spot. Shockingly the bathroom was not up to standards with the upscale atmosphere. It was in desperate need of assistance. Overall, its been a long time coming being able to come here. While not everything hit the spot for me I'm more than open to come back and see what the menu looks and also during the day.

If you are asking if it is worth it, you already know that you have heard the hype about Castaway...and yes, it's completely worth it. Tucked in the hills of Burbank with spectacular views of the valley, it is a local's favorite. You really need to book ahead of time as it gets packed during peak hours. If you have the chance, definitely see if you can grab a spot outside as it makes it an even better experience! That is not to say the inside is not great, but you do not get the entire experience. Onto the food, yes, it's not cheap, but I don't think many come here thinking it's a bang for your buck. The food is damn good, and the menu itself makes it easy to share with a small or large group of friends and or family. Also make sure to try several of their cocktails, some of the best I had while in LA. On the list for when I head back soon!

Castaway in Burbank offers an experience with breathtaking city views, especially from the outdoor patio. The ambiance is perfect for a special night out, and they've ensured comfort with plenty of heaters to keep guests warm on cooler evenings. The Dry-Aged Ribeye (18 oz.) was cooked to perfection--we ordered it medium, and it came out just right. The flavor was rich, and the roasted garlic served alongside it was a perfect complement. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts had a delicious Thai-inspired kick, and the portion size was generous enough to enjoy as a main. The server came by with complimentary cornbread, which was warm, buttery, and served with whipped butter for an extra indulgent touch. For drinks, the "Honey, Do You Believe It?" cocktail was a smooth, well-balanced whiskey drink served over ice, like a high end Jack Daniels Honey with a thyme infusion.

Came here to for the views and to try their dineLA - so surprised that it took me so long to make a visit here! Great spot for date night and plentiful seating indoors and outdoors. We were sat outdoors but there were plenty of heaters to keep us warm. DineLA - we both ordered the seafood tower as the starter. This exceeded my expectations because I was not expecting the amount of shrimp and oysters provided. For entree, I ordered the short ribs and this was also a delight and decent portions. For dessert, I ordered the key lime pie, a bit on the smaller side but enjoyable. Try the lava cake if you love chocolate. Parking is valet only.

A Perfect Birthday Celebration! We celebrated my brother-in-law's birthday at Castaway, and everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish! We had a group of 12 and were seated in a reasonable time after our reservation. Our servers, Alexis and Shaunte, were incredible! Their service was top-notch--attentive, friendly, and they truly went above and beyond to make our celebration special. The food was absolutely delicious, and the dessert--OMG, it was heavenly! Every bite was a treat. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the outdoor view was stunning--such a perfect backdrop for a special occasion. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. Huge thanks to Alexis and Shaunte for making the night extra special. We will definitely be back!

We dined here today for the first time for brunch and had an absolutely fabulous experience. My husband and l both did bottomless mimosas for drinks. I did traditional mimosas, while my husband tried the lavender charcoal, watermelon dragon fruit, and cucumber mint. His rankings: Lavender charcoal: 10/10 Watermelon dragon fruit: 9/10 Cucumber mint: 7.5/10 For food, I had the quiche (10/10!!!) And my husband had the chicken and waffles (9.5/10). We shared the garlic fries on the side! Aside from the food, the views are amazing and the staff are all very nice and friendly. Overall I can't recommend castaway enough. We cannot wait to go back for dinner!
